Cumberland American Little League coach David Belisle made Rhode Island proud when his hard working team lost the LL World Series to Chicago’s Jackie Robinson West. Everyone has a childhood moment of stinging disappointment that they’ll always remember; these kids are lucky enough to have an incredible coach to teach them about what’s important (and I bet Belisle would be the first to say that he’s lucky to be that person for these kids, too).
Seeing these boys tear up while they’re listening to their coach totally pulls on my heartstrings, especially at 1:30. This is everything awesome about sports, kids, Rhode Island, life in general.
