Watching the chaos of NYC usually won’t result in a smile. But that’s what will happen when you see it from this time lapse, a whimsical pop-up picture book created from real life.
Hear the typical sounds of the city from the atypical view of 50 rotating cameras. Filmmaker Paul Trillo asked people to describe their days as his cameras snapped simultaneously on an arc. He pieced the shots together, and it feels as though you’re glimpsing into moments of strangers’ lives.
As this video increases the city’s chaos, it also heightens its charms.
