Louisville-born and -raised star Jennifer Lawrence was giving back to her community even before she hit it big with “The Hunger Games” franchise. After filming the incredible “Winter’s Bone”—about a girl fighting for her family in the impoverished, rural Ozarks—JLaw advocated for orphaned and destitute kids at Bellewood Home for Children.
It’s just one more reason to love Louisville (and, of course, this famous-yet-down-to-earth Kentuckian).
