People have been running in races forever, but “color runs” are relatively new. If you’ve never heard of them, this excellent GoPro video from an Irvine color run will vividly present to you why they’re so awesome.
Here’s the gist of it: It’s a 5K fun run at its core, but with no timing and no winners. Along the course are stations where you get doused with colored powder as you pass. By the end, everyone is a hot mess—though also a deliriously happy mess (at least until they get in their car for the drive home).
Now I want to find out when they’re holding the next one. Will I see you there?
