We’ve all seen our fair share of Hawaii’s beaches. Isn’t it time for a change? This stunning time lapse of the Big Island’s skies gives the scenery a fresh take, and you’ll wish that you could fly alongside the birds.
Filmed on the islands of Oahu and Maui over a two-week period, “House of Clouds” shows an ever-changing sky shifting above rugged mountains and Honolulu’s skyscrapers. Cinematographer Julian Tryba climbed the dormant volcano Haleakala for some of the footage, and the end results are breathtaking.
By looking up, this video captures a side of Hawaii that is thankfully not beach-ready.
