2. Come See And Maybe Buy The Two Headed Cow And Other Oddities At Mysteria Antiques
Mysteria is an antiques store in Athens that brings out the creepiest in Georgia. From Zoltar machines to taxidermy animals and rare and questionable toys, this bizarre shop is filled with oddities that you have to see to believe.
The biggest of them all is the two-headed calf which was a donation from Natchez.
3. Find The Real Life Glow Worms
Buried deep in the earth of Hawkinsville, Georgia lives an extra mysterious kind of earthworm. What makes these slithering creatures different from the rest is that they emit a sticky slime that glows blue made up of the same chemical that lights up fireflies.
4. Explore The Remains Of Gresham’s Mill
Gresham’s Mill is by far one of the most recognizable places on this list, partly because it has become a landmark in Georgia but also because it’s so creepy. Despite the fact that it hasn’t been in operation for decades, the original bones of this mill are astonishingly well-preserved.
5. The Tennga Motel Makes The Bates’ Home Look Like Disney World
As if motels weren’t hard enough to get comfortable in as it is, The Tennga Motel goes and tops them all. Rumored to be haunted, this abandoned motel has a rusted roof that is caving in along with busted out windows for a downright creep-tastic stay.
6. Look But Don’t Touch The Haunted Pillar
Whether you believe in urban legends or not, the Haunted Pillar in Augusta will make you cautious about tempting fate.
The story goes that when a street preacher wasn’t allowed to spread the word of God in the 1800s, he swore that the building would be destroyed, and nothing but the column still stands. The legend also says that if you touch the pillar, you will die shortly after.
7. See The Mansions That Were Left To Die Like Harville House
Once upon a time, the Harville House was one of the most gorgeous pieces of property in Georgia. Rumors have swirled around this house for years, from tales of squatters living in the remnants to stories of paranormal activity.

While virtually all experts recommend steering clear of ticks, a museum in Statesboro, Georgia houses the biggest collection of them in the world. Stop by the US National Tick Collection to get your squeamish on.

It’s funny how a few decades of neglect can turn turn a school bus into something completely creepy. Resting along the side of the road, this abandoned bus has become something of a roadside attraction.

If the statue at the Corrine Elliot Memorial Grave in Savannah wasn’t creepy enough (those eyes!), then her story definitely is.
Legend has it that Corrine’s forbidden love with a man considered beneath her station drove her to plunge herself into the river while on horseback, killing herself the day before her wedding.
There is no evidence to support the claim that she’ll turn you to stone, but I wouldn’t look her in the eyes if I were you.
13. Pay Your Haunted Respects At Atlanta’s Oakland Cemetery
Atlanta’s Oakland Cemetery is the burial ground of 3,500 to 4,000 Confederate soldiers who died in battle. Multiple reports have surfaced over the years of haunted stories of the burial grounds, most of which agree that if you listen closely at night, you can hear an unknown and strange voice saying roll call for all of the dead soldiers.
14. Visit Georgia’s Own Stonehenge
The Georgia Guidestones are fascinating and strange in their own right. Located in Elbert County, these large granite slabs stand alone in the middle of an otherwise empty field with ten rules for the “Age of Reason” in eight different languages.
They were put there by a mysterious group of people who’ve never come forward and have only been identified by an unmatchable pseudonym.
15. Discover If The Sorrel Weed House Is Haunted Or Hyped
Reports of Sorrel Weed House claim that you can see strange figures in the windows and hear voices inside this historical residence.
It is said that there was a slave who lived in the attached carriage house who was murdered, creating a grounds so haunted that this place has even been featured on an episode of Ghost Hunters.
16. Fly Over The Cuckoo’s Nest At Central State Hospital
Nothing is creepier than an abandoned mental hospital. That’s why just looking at Central State Hospital in Georgia can give you goosebumps.
Numerous reports have surfaced over the years of unexplained sights and noises. Even though the grounds are closed to the public, a lot of people break in to try to get a glimpse for themselves.

Kennesaw House acted as a hospital during the Civil War and now serves as a museum for the public to tour and learn about Georgian history.
Many people have claimed to see scenes of soldiers being operated on in the basement, almost like reenactments, except without anyone actually there. There have also been multiple sightings of the original owner’s wife waving at visitors as they come and go.

The Village Inn Bed and Breakfast used to be a Civil War hospital, there have been multiple reports of a man singing and whistling loudly, walking the halls and slamming doors. There are also reports of messages being given in morse code knocks.

Located in the Monastery District in Dublin, Georgia, Fegren Of The Air, you’ll find an alleged parallel universe portal called Kcymaerxthaere. Created by Geographer Eames Demetrios, the portal can apparently be found in the spot pictured.

Bonaventure Cemetery is creepy enough with all the signature Georgian landscape against the headstones. But, it’s so creepy looking, that it was chosen to be featured in the film “Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil” along with having a few famous people buried there.
21. Pat The Head Of Stuckie The Mummified Dog … If You Dare
This roadside attraction takes taxidermy to a new level. You can find Stuckie in Waycross, Georgia. When a dog was found petrified inside of a hollowed out tree, the owner figured the next best thing to do was to put it on view for the public at Southern Forest World.
22. Visit The Gnomes And Other Creepy Creatures Of Rock City
If you were ever drawn to the creepy side of fairy tales like Hansel and Gretel, then Rock City is the place for you. Along with princesses and other costumed characters, you’ll also run into some stuff that’ll give you chills, like the gnomes and the Humpty Dumpty exhibits.
