If you want to buy a home in a city where your dog is welcome, look no further than the great city of Minneapolis. The city of Minneapolis is full of places that allow you to bring your four-legged friend along. That includes outdoor cafes in summer, doggy play centers, pet supply stores, and of course outdoor off-leash dog parks (OLDPs). In Minneapolis, you must comply with all relevant ordinances including those listed in Chapter 64 of the Minneapolis Municipal Code. You may bring up to three dogs to an OLDP but must have a license and off-leash permit for each one. Annual off-leash permits for residents are $35 for the first dog and $25 for each additional dog. Daily permits are available for $5 per dog, and OLDPs are open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
