With rents rising and space at a premium, most city-dwellers find themselves a bit cramped. There are various solutions to this problem, of course. You can rent a storage unit. You can throw away most of your belongings. You can flee for the suburbs and enjoy a nasty commute for the rest of your days. Or, you can ingeniously re-engineer your apartment so that 330 square feet magically turns into 24 different rooms, like this guy:
Yes, his name is Gary Chang and he’s an architect, so this is probably not a reasonable DIY project for most of us. Still, the results of Chang’s work are fascinating. By placing “tracks” on the ceiling, he’s able to wheel various “walls” over and across each other, creating an interchangeable kitchen, living room, bedroom, library, and more. He’s also added mirrors to the ceiling to make the place look a bit bigger.
