Boucherie is a standout restaurant when it comes to finding some of the best meaty Southern cuisine in New Orleans.  They’ve got awesome boudin balls, duck confit, and a great shrimp and grit cake.  But perhaps the most important menu item here, for carnivores and vegetarians alike, is their Krispy Kreme bread pudding.  Extremely unique, memorable, and delicious, it’s definitely worth giving a try.

A restaurant seemingly built solely for the purpose of filling hungry carnivores’ stomachs, the NOLA Smokehouse will have your mouth watering before you even walk through the door thanks to the awesome smells that spill out.  If you need a recommendation, try the burnt ends.  One things for sure though, a visit here will have you immediately recommending it to everyone you know.

While the  huge sign posted outside of Jacques-Imo’s Café promising “warm beer, lousy food, and poor service” might be a joke, the food here is no laughing matter. Just about anything on the menu is a winner, but if it’s your first time, you have to try the shrimp and alligator cheesecake. More like a quiche stuffed full of shrimp and alligator sausage than the popular dessert, there’s no excuse to miss this insanely tasty dish.
Once you’ve tried that, I’ll let you move onto the other awesome things on the menu, like their fried chicken plate and the carpet bagger steak.
