I’m a huge fan of “Portlandia”. In true pretentious hipster fashion, I’ll go ahead and claim that I liked it before everyone else did. You can’t argue with my Netflix history.
In all seriousness, one of my favorite parts of the show is the opening sequence. The views of the city in combination with the ‘80s-esque chill indie pop song gets me every time. (The song is called “Feel It All Around” by Washed Out, by the way.)
What would happen if you took the same music and put it to similar shots of San Antonio? You get a really awesome video. It’s pretty interesting how it’s so similar because of the music and style, yet so different because there’s no city like San Antonio.
