What surprising about Derek King isn’t that he braves the busy streets of Dallas on a super-fast recumbent bicycle to commute to work. It’s that he’s legally blind.
“Since they said I couldn’t drive a car because of my vision, instead of just sitting on a bus for the rest of my life, I decided to come up with something else,” King says. I love the fact that his solution is something that even those of us with 20/20 vision would find intimidating.
