Downtown, Portland

Downtown Portland lies near the Williamette River which flows through the city center. Residents describe the neighborhood as a more bustling area than other neighborhoods in the city. Shoppers flock to the neighborhood for a chance to browse through its many quaint boutiques and specialty shops.

The neighborhood’s only connection to popular media might be the famous Hollywood Theater but living in Hollywood Portland is an experience in itself. The residents also enjoy being close to the neighborhood shops, theaters and stores that are all within walking distance to the homes.

Pearl District

Pearl District in Oregon is also a shopper’s paradise. The neighborhood lies north of Downtown and is known for its upscale residences, businesses and art galleries. If you are a dog person, “The Fields” Dog Park will give you something to look forward to with your canine friend.
Pearl District is also known as one of the city’s best dining district. Lofts and townhomes are the norm as far as homes are concerned. The neighborhood truly depicts urban living at its finest. Popular eateries include the high end Peruvian restaurant Andina, a Mediterranean themed eatery named Bluehour, a posh French outlet known as Fenouil and the Fratelli for those who prefer Italian cuisine.

Oldtown Chinatown, Portland, OR

Oldtown is Portland’s Chinatown and is a mix of popular nightclubs, bars, offices and restaurants. The neighborhood is located near the riverfront in north Downtown Portland and a great place for history buffs. The people who live there enjoy easy commutes in and out of the city thanks to the TriMet MAX light-rail train line nearby. Finding a place for a bite is easy with the immensely popular Voodoo Doughnut, the Bijou Café, Sushi Ichiban and E-San Tahi Cuisine and other interesting eateries littered throughout the place.

Northwest

Northwest Portland is a place that is comprised of several neighborhoods and is popular with both visitors as well as locals alike. The neighborhood lies near the lushness of Forest Park. Northwest is also lovingly known as “Trendy Third Avenue” since its trendiest shopping districts lie nearby.
Popular restaurants include the Veritable Quandary, Park Kitchen, Meriwether’s, Beast, Jake’s Famous Crawfish and The Farm Café amongst others.
