The heart of Bath's Historic District is the setting of this Victorian Home which was designed by architect Frances Fassett in 1874 for Galen Clapp Moses and redesigned in 1901 by John Calvin Stevens who was Fassett's apprentice. When one enters the black and white marble floor vestibule you are greeted by the ornate hall stand- boot bench and grand stairway on your left which was part of the homes redesign. The second landing features three stained glass windows including bowls of fruit overlooking the new landscaping, patio, and recent garden shed which was designed to compliment the homes Victorian façade. The front reception room features it's original frieze details where plaster designs were done by hand with a pallet knife. Throughout this residence are oak buffets, oak paneling, elaborate fireplaces and mantles, large oak pocket doors, beveled glass cabinets, and numerous stained glass windows including a Tiffany in the formal dining room.
