I currently attend South Tama, like any school it needs improvement ; however one of the biggest problems with South Tams is a bad attitude. People either don't care or don't believe that they can do it. Our test scores do need to be improved (especially math and reading) but we are in the middle of a different way to tackle the problem. If you have a good attitude you can learn A lot. Read Full Review

I am class of 2008 amui and there was no enforcement of policies it is like the students run the class. The principal needs to be more stricter and less friendly. Bullying is prevalent and is not dealt with at all. The principal says he will do one thing and does the other while dealing with bullying issues. It is a very cliqueish school and hard for kids to be accepted into. Academically it was not on the same level as some other schools in the district like Lynnville-Sully or Montezuma or Tri-County. I think this goes back to a couple of poor teachers that aren't very effective. The science dept needs to be looked and have major changes like in chemistry or physics and biology. They really need to look at those. History,English and Math is the best subject there.Read Full Review

I'm not a parent, I attend this school, and will be going to the 10th grade. I love this school and I can't imagine going anywhere else. The teachers are wonderfully easy to talk to, and they make the classes fun. I think going to a smaller school is better than going to a large school. There are less social issues, less cliques, less bullying, just about less everything except for loving and caring.Read Full Review
