Schools like this are the reason SINA came into existence. Also thanks to the teacher post clarifying that it really is not about students' well-being but its about teachers maintaining their own agendas. The negative behavior/character traits displayed by staff at this school are ones that I would never condone in my own children and certainly do not think that people that work with children should have. As a college educated working professional, this is the worst place I have ever been, my family was treated horrible, and I'm glad to have pulled my children out of the district. Very backwards place, not a lot of higher level thinking going on. Read Full Review

Since the last review of our school was so negative, I would like to add my prospective.Last year while there was virtually no principal, the teachers pulled together and raised the reading test scores dramatically. The school had been on state's SINA list: Schools In Need of Assistance, but because of lots of hard work, they are now off the list! The new principal is top notch. She works tirelessly to improve discipline and is making good headway in not only that area, but in creating a friendly cohesive environment for everyone. We have a PTO 2nd to none. Check out MV! It is great!Read Full Review

My child has been going to the Missouri Valley schools now for 3 years and I can't wait to get her out of there. They have bullying issues and students don't know the meaning of personal space and/or boundaries (they don't keep their hands to themselves), favortism among students, and teachers behave unprofessionally. There is one male teacher who teaches in the 6th grade and he has serious anger management issues, teachers use profanity in class and gossip about other students, they are unwilling to help students when needed. The elementary teachers were way better but the principal (who is no longer employed there) was worthless. I would NOT recommend this school to anyone. Read Full Review

My son was in his second year of school and we knew he was different but no one could give me any answers. His teacher called me at home an lined everything up to have him evaluated by their Autism Team. Soon after recieving the evaluation my son was formally diagnosed with PDD-NOS (a high functioning form of autism). His teacher this year has been very patient and wonderful and the school continues to make sure Joey has all the services he needs!Read Full Review

My child struggled starting the 2nd quarter and it was not brought to my attention nor my husbands until it was too late. The staff is unresponsive and unwilling to help the kids succeed. We are looking at open enrolling into the Logan school district. We are very upset with the teachers and principle in the Middle School.Read Full Review

I have three children in this school district. All three of my children are very happy when they come home each day, which tells me they enjoy school. My senior is looking forward to attending college in the fall, a challenge which she is ready for because of the wonderful staff at the Missouri Valley High School. Recently, my Jr. High aged child completed the DARE program, which he has shared with me at home, this program is implemented early to assist parents in the role of preventing drugs in our home and school. Sometimes parents forget to take responsibility for raising their children. School is there to provide an education, parents are should be there to help educated their children against drugs, sex, and other things they will face in life. Don't forget to be a parent.Read Full Review
