Nearly 6.5 million people live in the state of Tennessee, making it the 17th most populous state in the country. Set in the southeast of the United States, Tennessee is known for its association with many different types of music, from rock and roll to blues, and country, and as the home of Elvis Presley. Unfortunately many of the state’s larger cities are known for having crime problems, but what are the smaller towns and cities like? Let’s find out what the top 10 safest cities in Tennessee are.

I’m looking to move to Chattanooga from FL. I’d like a nice place on a lake if possible as I have a boat. Also interested in living in the mountains. If you have any ideas, would you let me know? Thank you.

Big Sandy is a small country town. We lived with a view of Kentucky Lake which flowed into to the Tennessee River. Fisherman like this area. I loved catching crappie in the spring season.

You’ve got to be kidding me. Maybe some of these are “safe” if you don’t mind the political and police corruption. Bethel Springs is “safe”, really? Bethel Springs is a dump, with no industry, jobs or houses. I live in Bethel Springs, thankfully not in the city limits, or I’d be spending $200 a month for sewer. Over 50% of the people in McNairy County of which Bethel is a part, is on government aide. Give me a break, your statistics don’t really show a true picture.
