This 3 Minute Video Of The Albuquerque Tramway Will Haunt You For The Rest Of The Week

Never before has Albuquerque looked so beautiful, or haunting, as in this short minute video.

This video literally gave me chills. Filmed on the Sandia Peak Tramway, Philip Bloom’s short film “The Tramway” takes serene views of the Albuquerque desert and transforms them into something that’s equal parts erie and eye-popping.

The music (from the movie “Signs”) is a big part of the experience, so be sure to turn your sound up. Don’t blame me if you can’t get this one out of your head for a while.

I would have chosen something other than the woman taking a big old drag on a cigarette. The scenery was nice but not spectacular until the very end when it shows the lights of Albuquerque.

As usual the haters are out in full force in the comments. I liked the vid, not too short or too long. Really captured some of the mysticism I associate with The Burque and the mountain views. OMG someone smoked a cigarette?!?!? It’s obviously the end of polite society as we know it.

You are absolutely right, DESSERTRAT33…and I am ashamed for being so negative. I guess it’s my own personal feelings about smokers…I should reconsider how I view them. That scene wouldn’t have been any big deal at all several decades ago. I guess I need to stop thinking of smokers as offensive, because it’s still part of society and everyday life, and it doesn’t mean anything other than someone is smoking a cigarette.

You must’ve missed the glimpse of Elvis.

I love Albuquerque. In fact, I’m glad the movie shows it as an eerie place..it’ll detract the airheads from experiencing its majestic sunsets, blue skies, and double rainbows.

This is a very well shot video. Don’t like it, don’t watch it. It shows the city we all know and love. Those that do not get it….well, either move or keep quiet.
