They were all Beautiful , makes you homesick for New York !!!!!!!!!

  3. Robin

I agree with Barbara, I could take as good or better photos within walking distance of my house. The Hudson River Valley is beautiful but so are a lot of places.

  5. Carol

Beautiful! The many faces of NY.

I grew up in Newburgh, on the banks of the Hudson, and I miss it every day. And in response to Barbara Weber and Robin, when Oscar Wilde visited this country in 1882 the only area that he said not only lived up to, but exceeded what he’d heard about it, was the Hudson Valley. (He was not easily impressed, calling Niagra Falls “a lot of water” and the Grand Canyon Canyon “a very big hole.”) And he prided himself on being an aesthete, or connoisseur of beauty. He took a boat from New York City up to Albany and then right back again.

#22 sure isn’t Congers NY which is in Rockland Co. and NOT on the Hudson river. #22 looks like Ossining on the other side of the Hudson.

  8. Kristy

Come and see the bald eagles in the winter..From Haverstraw at Bowline to Bear Mt and up Iona Island is a sanctuary!!

  9. Kristy

But this is about the Hudson Valley….. not those places??? Why put any negative spin on this beauty

  10. Nancy

The Old Mill is in Sleepy Hollow (formerly named North Tarrytown) not Tarrytown.

I live, work and play in the Town of Newburgh NY. I’ve been to many of these places and more. It is absolutely breathtaking to see the Hudson River on any given day. There are so many locations all around the area that are quite spectacular. Choosing a favorite is too hard to do. Fall is on the way and with it brings a burst of color unlike almost anywhere else on the planet. Lucky to those of us that live here and take the time to enjoy the view! I sell real estate and have a blog about homes for sale, but my favorite part of blogging is sharing the photos that highlight the Hudson Valley.

  13. Mary

I’m always impressed with the view when driving west on the Rhincliff-Kingston bridge, looking at the Hudson with the Carskills above it. Gorgeous!

  14. Denise Diehl

One of the views i love is from walking across the bear mountian bridge in the fall it is breath taking to see the colors for miles .

  15. Sean ONeill

Walk Across the Hudson and the Marist College campus on Poughkeepsie. Both give breathtaking views of one of America’s greatest treasures, the Hudson River, explored by Henry Hudson in 1609. I have lived from Rockland County to Troy and have always been in touch with it’s beauty, history and majesty. Serving as Commodore of the Albany Yacht Club has only added to the experience.

Most of the valley is beautiful, but my favorite is Fahnestock Park. The several dirt roads make you forget you are 60 miles from NYC. Clermont State Park is a gem, I could name every spot in the valley. LOL

  17. Judy Frank

Basha Kill, Wurtsboro, NY is as beautiful as any of these photos!
