While perusing the ever-delightful Curbed.com, we came across this post about Trulia’s recent foray into the real estate of the heart.
Yes, that’s right – Trulia has made a valiant attempt at defining happiness, real estate-style. It isn’t the most exhaustive metaphysical investigation we’ve ever seen, but it’s a pretty smart premise: Trulia asked a bunch of homebuyers to choose their #1 favorite home feature and then broke down the results by gender.
Overall the answers were pretty consistently spread across the board, perhaps because there were so many options. But technically, it turns out that an enormous bed is the great longing of male homeowners, while lots of storage space makes a woman fall in love with a house. Very illuminating, no?
