In a nutshell, SpotProperty is a free online real estate service that locates home deals and delivers them to your inbox as they come on the market. According to our data, SpotProperty homes typically sell at 10-20 percent below market value, saving you thousands of dollars. When we said we wanted to find real estate deals, this is what we meant.
In the past several years, we’ve heard from homebuyers that while they enjoy the access to data Movoto and similar real estate sites offer, they can be overwhelmed by charts, graphs, and acronyms. When we investigated further, we found what homebuyers wanted was to know if they were making sound financial decisions–especially when making one of the largest, if not the largest, investment of their lives.
This mimicked co-founder and broker Henry Shao’s own experience. When he searched for homes he found there was a tremendous amount of data available, but he still didn’t know if the homes he found were actual deals.

What are SpotProperty Deals?
Envisioning a real estate deal might not be easy. It’s best to think of SpotProperty as Groupon for homes. We scour through plentiful housing data to find homes that are on the market for less than similar homes. In other words, it’s what we consider a deal.
Each day SpotProperty users receive a customized daily email containing a home that is based on their preferences. If you’d like to see only top-tier houses, you can do this. If you’d like to see all types of houses, regardless of cost, SpotProperty can do this, too. The choice is in our users’ hands.
We’ve found that houses featured on SpotProperty sell for anywhere between 10-20 percent below market value. This translates to significant savings.
How Does SpotProperty Work?
