Like a certain contentious GOP contender, the gods of Olympus would be proud of the mayor of Agrigento, Italy.
Mayor Marco Zambuto flat out refused prospective buyer and Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov’s bid to buy the Temple of Zeus. “I wouldn’t sell the Temple of Zeus even for 40 billion euros ($51.2 billion),” the Zambuto stated in response to selling one of the world’s most ancient pieces of real estate in order to help “save Italy’s finances”.
Maybe Zeus thinks it’s a seller’s market, but he could be a little out of touch this millennium.
