In this article, I will look at 2 cities in this Northern California wine region, Sonoma and Napa, comparing the real estate market in Napa and real estate market in Sonoma. They are both well-known cities in this wine country region and are only 14 miles apart, they are in two different counties Napa County and Sonoma County. Sonoma has 164 single family homes for sale and their average median price is $649,000. The median size of the homes is 1,580 sf and median lot size is 8,015 sf. Interesting the property with the largest lot has 15,768,720 sf, which is about 362 acres. The average $ per square foot is $442. The most expensive house is $35,000,000. In general, Sonoma’s median price is slightly lower than Napa’s, but the most expensive house is higher priced here, and it costs slightly more per square foot of living space.
